A Simple and Powerful Technique for Self-Work: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

A1. Body (e.g. pain in knee). Or Mind (e.g. anger).

A2. Give this pain / emotion or complaint a number on scale of 0 - 10.

A3. Design the Affirmation:
"Even though I have pain in my knee, I choose to heal, accept and unconditionally love that part of me"
Or "Even though I am angry, I choose to heal, accept and unconditionally love that part of me"

A4. Repeat the affirmation Three Times, aloud with emphasis, while gently rubbing / tapping the karate chop point.…or knee.

A5. With your eyes closed, gently place both your palms on your heart and take seven deep breaths
Then think of something, someone or a memory that you love and open your eyes.

A6. Check the scale of 0 - 10.

B. If relieved partially, repeat but say: e.g. "Even though there is this remaining (e.g, pain or anger), still I choose

C. If no change at all, repeat but say: e.g. "Even though I do not want to release this (e.g. pain or anger), still I choose...

• Be as short and specific with your wording as possible.
• Feel and instigate the discomfort.
• Work on one discomfort at a time.
